The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider place produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA more info will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all prospects and maximize access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
